on Because I cannot sleep by Mewlana Jalaluddin Rumi, on November 10, 2005I think every man and woman should say this before making love to one another... Just the intensity is brilliant and absolutely real.

on Mother and Daughter by Anne Sexton, on October 11, 2005True. Grit. Damn, will this not happen between all mothers and their daughters? The riff? The dagger in the side? The immense rage that builds up to something so sweet as bitter can be awful...

on La Muse Malade (The Sick Muse) by Charles Baudelaire, on July 22, 2005Simply amazing, and so true as to exactly what a "muse" will put a human being through. (Through the tips of insanity to the depths of hell).

on A Supermarket In California by Allen Ginsberg, on April 22, 2005I must say that I'm not into Walt Whitman, and haven't heard of Allen Ginsberg, until now, but this piece was remarkable. I loved the descriptions given in this piece, especially talking about everyday normal things, like shopping. My favorite words were: neon- describing the market's allure, and the different food talked of: vegetables, fruits, and meat. If there's anything that gives life to a poem, it is taking a piece out of life itself, and writing about it in words that describe something already possesing color and texture as vibrant as it sounds...
