on i carry your heart with me by e e cummings, on August 19, 2008here is the deepest secret nobody knows
(here is the root of the root and the bud of the bud
and the sky of the sky of a tree called life; which grows
higher than the soul can hope or mind can hide)
and this is the wonder that's keeping the stars apart
i carry your heart(i carry it in my heart)
that's my favorite thing I've ever read by him. a bit ideal perhaps, but what's wrong with that I guess... It' absolutely breathtaking. it makes me feel. I think it could make almost anyone feel, if they really looked. -
on Stanzas For Music: They Say That Hope Is Happiness by Lord George Gordon Byron, on August 19, 2008This is why I love Byron. His poems like these that speak to truth and life, beautifully, and with a force parallel to your understanding and perception.
Alas it is delusion all:
The future cheats us from afar,
Nor can we be what we recall,
Nor dare we think on what we are.
******** brilliant

they will not
give her back to me
this poem is destroying me..
