on Porphyria's Lover by Robert Browning, on March 10, 2006
a favorite
Since high school, this has been one of my favorite poems. I always loved the beautiful horror of it. It has an important message - a love triangle never ends well - someone always gets hurt.
I found it both enchanting and frightening that he kills Porphyria and keeps her dead body with him to contemplate all night. It's beautiful yet disturbing. Love at its best and worst.

on My Star by Robert Browning, on March 10, 2006
interesting
I've read Robert Browning's work before... but I've never seen this poem. I love stars, so I like the fact that it's about a star - but I feel that there is more depth to this poem than I can truly comprehend. It's a beautiful write, and it moves the mind to think "outside the box" as I've heard so many times before. -
on The Road Not Taken by Robert Frost, on March 10, 2006
another great one by Mr. Frost
I have always loved this poem. I think it's very important in life to follow your own path and not just go the easy route everyone else has already been. I feel that he was giving us all a little bit of his wisdom, telling us to risk it, to go for it even if it is harder. Perhaps he was even speaking of love - taking that difficult chance and it has made all the difference in his life. You could even apply this to taking a new job, or going to college - anything difficult is usually worthwhile.

awwww
I never read this one either, but I love it. It reminds me of my great-grandparents sneaking away to the other's farm when they were young and in love. It's very sweet and I love how it leaves the reader wondering what will happen next with the last line - leaves it up to your imagination.
