on Comin Thro' The Rye by Robert Burns, on June 18
My Interpretation
The first two stanzas, a mule or farm animal, named Jenny, pulling a plow controlled by a young man; who
at the third stanza starts to day dream about the future of his plantings and potential love life.
I haven`t read the book...Robert F. Burns42 -
on Sonnet: When I Have Fears That I May Cease To Be by John Keats, on November 30, 2006
When I have fears that I may cease to be
It seems that Keats fears were well founded;dying only four years after this was quilled. It would be interesting to know the cause of his death at such a young age. Plague, the irate spouse of a significant other or military misadventure. When I have fears that I may cease to be, I thank God for the time He`s given me. -
on The Splendor Falls by Alfred Lord Tennyson, on November 30, 2006
The Splendor Falls
Bugles must have been the CNN of his day; as war or news of war continues ad infinitum

Not just the same name
I too, lost my FatherWhen I`d matured to twenty-five
Awed by thought I`d bother
My family was still alive
