on Intrigue by Stephen Maria Crane, on December 20, 2003
eh
At first thoughts reading this were, "Why do you love something that brings you pain and lust for death?" till the last stanza reveals the love is for death, not a person. Show's love pretty well, but it's not romantic to me. It's kinda sad. Life gives you the oppertunity to love, so why love something that can take that ability away? Or if the person is just in love with being sad, not death, then the poem shows me this isn't real love it's more a sadistic version of the feeling. Love should be a happy uplifting healing feeling, not the opposite. -

as well as it is written, I can't applaud it. How very romantic to show love by starting a war. To push harm on another and be rewarded with the love of a beautiful woman. To me this man is weak and is more obsessed than in love.

Great!
This poem is great, suffering due to loves whim. It was short but it did it's job i think. I like it too cause I can relate. In a world where people look past alot of things, it's funny how love lets us appreciate the little details of beauty. Nice write.
