on A Pig's-Eye View Of Literature by Dorothy Parker, on August 2, 2006I'm fairly certain that "Byron and Shelley and Keats" is the first line of the second stanza and if not, it should be. I can provide a link if you like.

on 40,000 by Charles Bukowski, on July 14, 2006Vintage Bukowski. And an accurate observence of those around him though I think this poem is mostly about the horses and him doing what he loved. The rest is just a side dish.

on Freedom by Charles Bukowski, on July 14, 2006I see I've already commented on this piece center justifying this poem makes it a little less enjoyable. I highly doubt Bukowski would ever center his poetry.

Perhaps some day I shall not shrink in pain
To see the passing of the dying year,
And listen to Christmas songs again,
Although You cannot hear.'
