on anyone lived in a pretty how town by e e cummings, on August 2, 2004yup i agree with others a complete rollercoaster of a ride! the syntax was carried way too far to make this piece far too confusing! I do n ot like this use of syntax, and think had one of us written it people would critique telling us to tidy it up!!!!! however, the pictures the words create when read sensibly of summer 8in a little village really work nicely!

on Amoretti LXXV: One Day I Wrote her Name by Edmund Spenser, on August 2, 2004what beauty is written in these words! the untypical syntax works at emphasizing certain points, and helps with the flow and rhyme of the poem too! i enjoyed reading this cleverly written masterpiece!

on Funeral Blues by W H Auden, on July 4, 2004i absolutely adore this poem, and always have-I could go into a whole analysis of it but I won't! I'll just say read it a few times before you comment or make opinion on it. This is a piece of the utmost beauty

on Dulce Et Decorum Est Pro Patria Mori by Wilfred Owen, on July 4, 2004I have always loved this poem. Since studying it at school it has never stopped bringing me to tears when I read it. The imagery is vivid, it's almost me walking behind that cart. You can feel his pain, and his disgust.
And the ending is superb-dulce et decroum est, pro patria morti "It is good and fitting to die for your county" love it!
