on A Thought For A Lonely Death-Bed by Elizabeth Barrett Browning, on February 24
'To be or not to be'
Elizabeth Barrett Browning seems to be drowning her sorrow and loneliness with red wine. She seems to hope for unconsciousness to envelop her so she can tread safely the way to meet her dear departed friend in heaven. -
on There Is Pleasure In The Pathless Woods by Lord George Gordon Byron, on February 24I am so like a book that Nature reads me like part of itself. I am therefore able to enjoy my feelings about Nature when I engage in a solitary walk through the woods and by the sea. With Nature I feel part of the Universe.

on A Meditation for His Mistress by Robert Herrick, on February 24
Love is transient
We are all mortal and our love is transient even though you are very beautiful. Die you must. We must all die.

Spirited encouragement
It seems the mother's son grasped her feelings and took them as his own. How else could he write such masterly poetry and show such feelings with great images.
