  • on As I Grew Older by Langston Hughes, on January 19
    Great poem.

  • on Christmas In Australia by Victor James Daley, on December 24, 2008
    Very quaint.

  • on Song At Sunset by Walt Whitman, on February 11, 2006
I've been reading a lot of Whitman of late. One of the few American poets who become loved WHILE he lived. One of his very best writings is SPECIMEN DAYS . . . not poetry, but an account told in his style of the Civil War and the tradgedy it brought. Truly incredible piece of writing, but then I'm a history nut and very biased in that regard. Worth reading all the same.

  • on After Prayers, Lie Cold by C S Lewis, on October 26, 2005
I look at this as a sort of fusion. It breaks some rules while sticking closely to others simultaneously.

    Which I find interesting.
