  • on Feelings by Spike Milligan, on May 14

    Relative and Concise

Milligan has embodied two of life's most common and most essential emotions - love and humor. Anybody who has ever laughed or loved can certainly relate to Spike's words. No further explanation needed!

  • Roll on indeed! In a world where we seek new man-made marvels, none yet has matched the ocean. "Bidding nations quake...", and most certainly, all of them do. This poem has a hint of another favorite poem of mine by William Woodsworth in which he writes, "Getting and spending we lay waste our powers, little we see in nature that is ours." Byron not only recognizes man's futility ("His control stops with the shore") but reveres the ocean, who revers no man, in a way I can appreciate. A brilliant piece. I do love it.

  • Oh Henry... What thoughts and troubles did overgrow your memories? Whatever they were, I thank you for your pen!

  • I love this poem... "Break, break, break..." one could almost hear the wave action against the rugged shore.
