on When I Love by Nizar Qabbani, on November 2, 2006Before judging too harshly, you should bear in mind that this piece was likely translated from Arabic - a language with totally different sounds, sentence structure and idiom from English.

on A Man's Requirements
by Elizabeth Barrett Browning, on September 28, 2006 absolutely brilliant
the whole time, you think it's a love poem - and it is, in a way - then it turns around suddenly.
Elisabeth Barrett Browning, I'm impressed! Not only did you have high ideals and beautiful words, but a sharp mind and biting wit. Truly an amazing woman.
And... all of you who think it's a beautiful love poem: you clearly didn't read through to the end.
