    The last stanza is the best, it does a perfect job tieing the poem together, and it, in a way, tells the moral of the piece.

    I think that these haikus do a great job symbolizing the seasons. He really was a very talented writer.

    THis has always been one of my favorite poems, it just three short lines it says so much. Basho, I can honestly say, is one of my favorite poets. His words are simple, but say so much. This is an outstanding poem.
