on How many Flowers fail in Wood by Emily Dickinson, on October 17Memes are funny things in presentation and mutation. This is one of my favorite poems and I swear I heard it on the radio awhile back "Don't let 'em say you ain't beautiful. (no) They can all get f*c*ed just stay true to you".

on My Life had stood—a Loaded Gun by Emily Dickinson, on October 17So around 120, 130 years later, I can't help but imagine tupac taking a look at this and having an inspired moment. "all I need in this life of sin, is me and my girlfriend. Tell me why to the bloody end" Anyway, I like this poem for what it is.

on He fumbles at your spirit by Emily Dickinson, on October 17She wrote another version of this poem. In line 1 spirit is soul, line 5 substance is nature, there are 2 more lines at the end, and some punctuation changes. That is my favorite version of this poem. This one does well enough to show that Emily was definitely into gagnsta rap and down with G.O.D.. You could take it as emo whining, but the rest of her work pretty much shows that she had the concept of a loving protector and provider. So I toss out the emo whining theory.

That's funny.
