on My Pretty Rose Tree by William Blake, on January 5
Very subtle and cleverly written
To me this poem tells a story of a flower being offered a beautiful maiden, so very beautiful. But I said I've a pretty rose tree, as we know there is a big difference with a rose tree, for a tree has roots, stability, rooted in the earth, security, branches with pretty buds, perhaps a family, and leaves and roses that cast a shade and a sweet aroma, aroof over his head, a supper on the table, and also a beautiful rose of a wife.
So although this flower (maiden) is passed over, for the beautiful rose tree ( wife and family, home and security) The rose turns away in jealousy, and the sting of her tongue, her bitterness, was all he got. In other words, it sounds like he's in the dog house, makes you wonder why was the maiden flower offered in the first place, was there a flirtation going on, hence the thorns!? -
on Laughing Song by William Blake, on January 5
I love his work!
To me here William Blake is so happy, the world around him reflects his joy and merriment! He is full of the joy of life, his heart sings in wonder.
The green woods laugh with the voice of joy, the river laughs,
Here William Blake seems so happy, this is also reflected as his heart sings about nature around him. This reflects his merriment and laughrer back to him. In the first verse element of the earth laugh, in the second verse meadows laugh, grasshoppers laugh, Mary, Susan and Emily laugh. I wonder is he in love? such happiness and joy.
The table is spread with cherries and nuts, fruits of celebrations, Come live and be merry, and join with me, Is this a proposal of marriage! Andsing the sweet chorus of "Ha, ha, he!" indeed very happy and light hearted. He definately seems in love to me. I liked this it made me feel happy.

on The Wild Flower's Song by William Blake, on December 26, 2007
Such clever thoughts
I love the writings of William Blake, he always arouses deep thought in his writes, to me this poem portrays the creation by God, and the effects on man.
The forest, green leaves and wild flowers, mans heart sings in union with creation. The earth, the silent night, the fears were murmured, and delight was felt, soothed by the amazing beauty and traquility of the creation once more.
With a heart full of joy and feeling good going forth to seek further encouragement, but alas only a human can bring scorn through his toungue and actions.
Therefore we should be aware of the ability of the tongue as God said Let your utterance always be with graciouness, seasoned with salt, so as to know how YOU ought to give an answer to each one. Colossians: 4:6

This is just so sad.
What a sad poem, verse one sickness and old age, verse two distress and a bleak existence for the animal, the baby cries no one to comfort it, the woman no hope a bleak existance, the wind chime although proffessing a tempory glimmer of hope but is completely oblivious to what is happening as the, and the wind has always been callous, as I think of the wind when the natural forces have caused untimely destruction and death. This poem porteays total despairation with no futere, no hope, and no promise of better things to come. The writer has written from a thoroughly deapairing heart that sees total despair and no answers to the problems.
In the Bible it offers a hope and a cure for verse one, it tells us at:
Job 33:25 "Let his flesh become fresher than in youth; Let him return to the days of his youthful vigor."
Isaiah 33:24 "and no resident will say I am sick"
Verse Two
Isaiah 11:6-9
With the kid the leopard itself will lie down, and the callf and the maned young lion and the well fed animal altogether; and a mere little boy will be leader over them. . . And even the lion will eat straw just like the bull. And the suckling child will certainly play on the hole of a cobra.
Verse Three
Isaiah 49:15, 16 Can a wife forget her sucklings so that she shold not pity the son of her belly? Even these women can forget, yet I myself shall not forget you. Look upon my palms I have engraved you.
Verse Four
Jeremiah 29:11, For I myself well know the thoughts I am thinking towards YOU. Thoughts of peace and not of calamity to give you a future and a hope.
Verse Five
Revelation 21:4,5, "And he (God) will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more, neither will mourning, nor outcry nor pain be anymore. The former things have passed away."
And the One seated on the throne {God} said: "Look! I am making all things new." Also he says "Write for these words are faithfull and true."
A well written poem by the author describing the sad situation that the world is in today.
Now complimented from scriptures from the Bible to give mankind a Future and a hope.
