  • on Cinderella by Anne Sexton, on January 16, 2007
now this was a treat to read.
this is appealing with it's Cinderella twist. i never thought how fairy tales remain frozen in time. happily-ever-after is only in fairy tales after all

  • on Trees by Alfred Joyce Kilmer, on August 29, 2005
i haven't read this poem in at least thirty years... i came looking for it and was surprised to find i remember who wrote it
it still holds the same charm as it did when i was eight

  • on A Dog Has Died by Pablo Neruda, on July 29, 2005
this is refreshing. straight up without hidden meanings to take up my time... there's a magnetism to this poem... besides the obvious affinity between me and my cat... the poem draws the reader back for more than one read.
this poem shows the pure love pets have for their masters... totally unconditional.

  • this is beautiful to read! i am so glad i stopped by. if only i could write with such flair. even so i consider myself fortunate to be able to read it.
a lovely start to my day!
