on Lineage by Ted Hughes, on July 6, 2005What is with the CROW??? He seems to be obsessed with using the crow.....the crow is a horrid creature really...why not the raven? I suppose this is the effect he was after...the raven is similar, but more white light, more spotlight, more can-I-have-you-autograph . Interesting that he sneaks it in there so frequently....

on Bride and Groom Lie Hidden for Three Days by Ted Hughes, on July 6, 2005now that is a erotic poem....so much passion in that and WOW @ the creative wordsmithing, such imagery, such love for another individual so clearly presented and my my my the intensity of the experience he is in that sticks sticks sticks! I love this one...I think it should be read at a wedding instead of that "love is not jealous, it does not...." blahkity blah blah

on Sunflower Sutra by Allen Ginsberg, on July 5, 2005Now that is genius!!!! Genius wrapped in brilliant foil and popped into the oven for a warming or a crisping or an aroma to fill fill an otherwise empty lazy early evening sitdown shydom of Tuesday Tuesday , ah whatever day - no one has ever conveyed such a subject of self-reflection, looking back as Ginsberg (except Ginsbery himself in many other of his works). Memory sparked by a lonesome sunflower....a spry youth, a shiny locomotive, a bright freshly budded sunflower. Always remember who you are, not who you tried to be, or who you once were...for you are who you are and were then too. Well, so much to say on this piece and every time I read it I feel it a different way.
