    I wonder if this has been translated from another language? It has that feel about it...I wonder at the nuances that might be conveyed in the author's native tongue.

    This certainly is an expression of deep love - tears equal to the waters of seven seas - that is a lot of tears. However I question it being in the "erotica" category.

    whims, this is one of my absolute faves. Before I changed my author's page, I had the following line from this poem on it...
    "My sorrow; I could not awaken
    My heart to joy at the same tone;
    And all I loved, I loved alone."

    It is essentially a part of me, that feeling at times. I am so happy to have been directed back to this poem today, as it has been some time now since I read it last.

    A big thankyou for leaving me this link.

    "I kneel in the nights
    before tigers" And the end is so final, so complete.

    Yup. I'll agree with that. A raw slice of life indeed. I respect his work greatly but something about this was not what I usually see in it. Ending could have been stronger, or something. I dunno. But most certainly a raw slice.
