on Song of the Moon by Claude McKay, on June 28, 2005we went over this poem in my english class. The speaker is telling the moon to leave the city, and go to the country, because that's where it would be appreciated. Or that's what my english teachers said, and it didn't make sense to me then. Rereading it now kind of helps. I like this poem though.

on A Conceit by Dr. Maya Angelou, on October 1, 2004This is a very great poem. Sadly, when I was looking through the Graphite Magazine my school puts out once a year, someone had copied this poem, put changed lines 7 and 8. It really disapoints me.
