on "We talked as Girls do —" by Emily Dickinson, on September 22, 2005to me this poem states that she and another writer were close in context. Sharing pieces we write can be so solemn and fulfilling if it is with the right person. What I got from this poem is that the other subject(male or female) died or was swept away by lifes business. I love emily- and this is an extraordinary piece.
