on Beowulf (The Prelude) by Anonymous Olde English , on October 11, 2003Yikes, and I thought learning to read Shakespeare was tough. This lost me, but then again, a lot of things do at midnight.

on The Australian Sunrise by James Lister Cuthbertson, on September 30, 2003Grrr.... stupid AP won't let me edit my company. I didn't even read that this was an Oldpoetry posting. Well, regardless, it was a beautiful and moving write. Whatever comments above that can still apply, do

on The Australian Sunrise by James Lister Cuthbertson, on September 30, 2003Wow, I'm an Aussie and I've never really thought about the beauty of the sunset. But you've done it justice and then some here, because this was an absolutely beautiful poem. So many things you don't notice every day, like the magpie's call, but you wish you did.
Wonderfully written! -
on Do Not Go Gentle Into That Good Night by Dylan Thomas, on June 10, 2003Well, I can cross this off my list of classic poems to read. I'm ashamed to admit I hadn't read it until tonight- and now I see why everyone loves it.
They are definately words to live by.
