How wonderfully he shows us the desperation of a lover, who is thirsty for a response from the one he loves, regardless of whether the response is positive of rngative. In his unique voice, Ghalib explains without explaining, proves without proving, and as they say these days "shows, without telling". One can read and re-read his verses, to discover, and rediscover!
