    This one has always made me smile. Yeats shows once again his talent in a strange way: a nostalgic backward glance at youth, perhaps?

    They were both too much romantic idealists to ever have that relationship work out. Except for in a Spiritual Marriage, of course. And let's not forget the Heretic Order of the Golden Dawn! A bitter poem, but full of beauty. Yeats mixes sorrow and beauty wonderfully throughout his work. *sigh*

  • I adore this poem! One of the first of his that really caught my eye when I started reading his work. I have felt this way quite a few times, especially when I was young. 'I'd give anything for you to forgive me!'
