on Hemingway Never Did This by Charles Bukowski, on May 3, 2007oh charles, i know! He isn't poetic here, but he addresses something every writer undoubtedly deals with.. It is similar to thinking of a fantastically poetic line and running upstairs to write it down, and somehow you forget it. It is irreplacable but lost.
I know that frustration, and Hemingway did too. But Buck's other poetry makes up for his loss, and I love the fact that he knows that. He has enough confidence to write something as unpoetic as this and not lose a single fan...
Fantastic.
