on Sleepy Hollow by William Ellery Channing, on September 7, 2006
wonderful verse
an shalt thou pause to hear some funeral bell....
line number 7 I like best... Emerson and Frank Sandborn were dismayed origionaly this was meant to be sung at the opening of a new cemetary "sleepy Hollow" where they are all entured. Between the three of them it was fashioned singable that day...

As Jones believed he was God, Emerson thought him mad, and Jones asked everyone to follow him,
like apositles, and none would.
The spirit left his body after a year and he tried to light the fire again to no avail.
And died as a madman in his Salem home...
