on Ode to the West Wind by Percy Bysshe Shelley, on March 6, 2004i'll call it stuffy. maybe it's just the mood i'm in. it flows really well, images are nice, but it doesn't quite reach me.

on Paradiso (Italian) by Dante Alighieri, on March 6, 2004i second philophant's statement. unfortunately, i'm not pronouncing more than half of the words correctly. it'd be so much better if i hear it.

on Inferno (English) by Dante Alighieri, on March 6, 2004i've read it before. and i read it again. i've always been curious as to how translated poems stack up against the original. the meaning and the rhymes most of the time really stick to the original, but i do suspect that there's quite a few (if not a lot) that's lost in translation.
