Does anyone know a poem that talks about personal conflict? It's for my assignment

most oldpoems were more about nature or society

They seemed to shy away from actual personal things. I mean, I guess you can read between the lines and see it still, but a poem is never about just one thing. That said, I'm just defending my ignorance, I'm sure someone can direct you to a good one Someone?

Is this personal ie internal conflict within the person, or personal ie man-to-man conflict BY the person?
There are bound to be many poems on both themes.

    Dulce et Decorum Est
    Wilfred Owen

Dulce et decorum est Pro Patria mori is from Horace. Owen wrote in a letter to his mother: "The famous Latin tag means of course It is sweet and meet to die for one's country. Sweet! and decorous!"
But as you read his poem you will see that it is in conflict with his own thoughts and experiences.

If this doesn’t help then it may give you an insight into another path to follow perhaps.

    Good Luck
    Von
