    i do not really get the way that this poem is set up i mean the way everything is worded

    I think Kipling speaks of the vagaries of humans. He's saying that none of us are perfect, that life WILL throw obstacles in our way but it's the way we deal with life's trauma's and troubles that shows the person we really are.
