    I love the images and construct of this poem, but I find that I am still puzzled by the "gray crystal bells". What are they? Church bells are metal. Does the poet mean raindrops? What do you think?

    Yes it could mean raindrops but then the author speaks of snow so I can't be certain.

    I think that they are frozen water droplets on the branches of a tree on a cold morning. Incipient icicles.
