on After Trying Many Years by Michelangelo Buonarroti, on May 18, 2004This is a beautiful, perfect poem. I actually have some slightly philosophic crud similar to it, so this type of thing really attracts me. I love it!

I think this poem is describing the wall-paper from the floor to the ceiling. Of course, anyone can make what they want of the 'meaning' of this poem; the wonder of poetry is that it can mean anything to anyone. But the words themselves describe the wall-paper. It's the sixth stanza that really tips me off to that.
The poem might just be pretty words, maybe not. That's for each person to describe, so I'm not going to put forth what I glean from the piece.
