on Lady Lazarus by Sylvia Plath, on July 1, 2004There are bits of this I like and bits I dont. I've never been the hugest fan of Plath, but I do respect her greatly as a poet. One of the things we owe to her most if for bringing so many young minds (albeit via teenage angst) to poetry. Some of which become talent.
And as for the line about a charge for eyeing her scars, I took that to mean her poetry; as Maureen said, her most succesful work was written during and about her depression or related topics. Therefore she makes money from showing people her grief or mental scars, something which, I am led to understand, she wasn't always happy with. -
on Poppies In July by Sylvia Plath, on May 21, 2004My favourite line is the one that goes "If my mouth could marry a hurt like that". That suggests to me that she is expressing her inability to talk about the pain she feels - the marriage seems a great way of putting it - an interesting image.
Its a good poem but I must say I prefer October. -
on my love is building a building by e e cummings, on May 21, 2004This is a really excellent poem, but you could've taken a bit more care typing it out - I'd like to see more capitals and the proper punctuation, if it doesnt seem rude of me to say.

Remember you guys drove off and killed the Native Americans.
Dont want to spoil this glorious day though.
