on Lucifer in Starlight by George Meredith, on November 3, 2007Each time I read this I see a different interpretation. As a child all I could see was a devil...clouding the skies with his defiance, not a see a lost soul, desperately trying to gain entrance to the heavens. Perhaps it is an aging process, as poems do alter when read from a different aspect.

on The Anatomy of Angels by Alden Nowlan, on October 26, 2007Fallen angels perhaps? Headstone should read:" Here lies fallen angel with hairy armpits and sturdy calves"...as the Cobra raises her head from the tomb of doom.
Strange poem, makes one wonder at the authors frame of mind at the time.
