touching
'in the droving days' really touched me as not only a horse lover and old jillaroo but the structure and language is what makes this poem great."Only a pound," said the auctioneer,
"Only a pound; and I'm standing here
Selling this animal, gain or loss '
Only a pound for the drover's horse?"
from the begining i was hooked and simply had to read the poem several times over. what is anyone elses thoughts on 'in the droving days'?......
