on Goading the Muse by Charles Bukowski, on May 31, 2005
I know what is meant in this. If you just write for the sake of writing from encouragement, you will flat on your face. It best to only write when the muse hits you. The man in the poem reminds me of musicans today.

I love this. It's funny those are always the memomorable kind of gas. 
Another remarkable poem.
