I like this poem so much. It's stunning. I dont have kids yet but I am not old enough to have kids. I love this poem so much!!! Peace.

  • on The Blossom by William Blake, on December 3, 2004
I adore Blake, he is the most versatile poet of his time. He is playful, yet has an inner strength that is mightier than any Wilkinson, man or sword! This is a sweet, hard poem that juxtaposes nature nicely, especially the lines "... swift as arrow/...your cradle narrow,/..." I think the Greeks call this zeugma. Peace

  • This is utterly depressing; I think I would maybe like it, or relate to it more, if I were a priest or a nun, keyword is maybe. It is just so grim and sterile, especially the last two lines, i.e., "Times eunich,...send my roots rain." Peace
