on i like my body when it is with your by e e cummings, on June 1, 2005Wow! I really love this very much! It has a very underspoken quality about it and of course it is quite steamy with the emotional affects of the words rather than a shock effect. It's great!

on Mirror by Sylvia Plath, on December 29, 2004I think this is one of the greatest poems ever, how could she write an in depth poem about a mirror, it is quite profound and reflective(i know, i know), this poem really makes me feel good about life, myself, and writing, if I could strive towards making an object completely personified, in depth and profound then maybe my toiling away in notebooks will be worth, what amazing skill this woman had!!!

on Face Lift by Sylvia Plath, on December 29, 2004I agree with the poster above me, but I'd like to know the story behind this poem, it seems there is two or three, I get that this is a poem but I believe the first part of it hints at a real moment in her life in the hospital maybe she got into an accident and had to get plastic surgery to fix it and the rest seems to be a description of ideals that remind her of that situation. Maybe I am wrong but I'm thinking something happened really, and she took that and ran with it. Either way this poem is full of great imagery, interesting wording, cool sound effects and descriptions and unique ideals. She is definately one of my favorites, great skill here.

on The Stone by Wilfrid Wilson Gibson, on May 19, 2004I love this poem it's got a great rhythm to it, great tone, the images are lovely, and the language is so smooth and still shocking. It's great!
