on A Broken Appointment by Thomas Hardy, on February 21, 2004I don't know why i'm picking poems that hurt the heart. But this was an excellent verse of lost love and the reconciliation of one's heart to that lost love. He realized it. how sad.

on A Farewell by Alfred Lord Tennyson, on February 21, 2004I love this. Not really the verse part of it. I just can never get into singsongy poems. But the meaning. The sweetness of this goodbye.

on 'Tis not that Dying hurts us so by Emily Dickinson, on February 21, 2004This poem speaks to me in a way that little other have. I love the first two lines. I know that in death we are really giving birth to a new and kinder (i hope) life. But I can no longer use the option of murdering myself as an option. I must wait for the reaper.
