on The Man He Killed by Thomas Hardy, on February 9, 2006This poem reflects a manner of speech and writing for the era. I love reading old letters written when letter writing was an art form....amazing reads. This poem reminds me of just that sort of writing. The poet explains the game quite well and just how odd war really is when studied in such a way. I enjoyed the read.

on The Sisters by Judith Wright, on May 18, 2005Immense! Golden is I think not an entirely sad thing...I think a thing learned in her life was the reality that we really always keep some aspect of ouselves private from the world. This concludes the realization that we are all truly islands.
