on A New Year's Resolution to Leave Dundee by William Topaz McGonagall, on May 18, 2004I wonder if he got any better treatment anywhere else? I wonder what he did to get things thrown at him. Perhaps he recited his poetry on a street corner...

on A Descriptive Poem on the Silvery Tay by William Topaz McGonagall, on May 18, 2004Truly awful. He's worth reading just to see how not to write, is ol' William. Mind you, if Billy Connolly is reading it doesn't sound quite so ghastly.

on Celestial Love by Michelangelo Buonarroti, on May 18, 2004I wasn't aware he wrote poetry. I learned something new today. I wonder what the original read like. When translated, poems always lose something. It very much depends on the translator. This seems pretty good though.
