Patrick Reginald Chalmers was born in Ireland in 1872 and he worked as a banker
His first book published at the age of 40 was Green Days and Blue Days and was followed three years later in 1915 by A Peck Of Malt.
His writing covered many fields such as sports, deerstalking, horse racing, biography (kenneth Graham & J M Barrie) as well as humerous articles for Punch. He also edited Edward Vlll's hunting diaries. His poetry topics included war, cats and dogs, hunting and fishing and Irish life.
He died in 1942.
