Richard Brome

I lived from 1590-1652. I was from England, and am in the English category.

I was influenced by poet Ben Jonson.

Very little is known about Richard Brome's personal life. He was an English dramatist and is generally deemed the most worthy of the many minor Jacobean playwrights. It is generally accepted that he was born around 1590 most probably not in London. He was a servant to Ben Jonson.
Besides plays, Richard Brome wrote only a few brief commendatory poems attached to other writers’ collections of poetry or plays. It appears that he died in 1652.
