I lived from 1885-1958. I was from Scotland, and am in the English category.
I influenced poet Rupert Brooke.
Born in the village of Blantyre, Lanarkshire, Scotland in 1885 Archibald Young Campbell was educated at the famous Fettes College in Edinburgh. He attended St John's College between 1904 and 1907 graduating (B.A.) with with a First in Classics. Whilst at Cambridge Campbell became friendly with Rupert Brooke and was much influenced by him.
Campbell became a Lecturer in Classics at Liverpool University in 1908 and then at Reading University in 1909 before returning to Cambridge and St John's as a Fellow and Lecturer in 1911. Shortly after his return to cambridge he married (1912) and subsequently had a son and two daughters.

My poetry
- In dreams I see the Dromedary still,
As once in a gay park I saw him stand:13 lines, 1 comment - Now Spring returns with leaf and blade,
Some seek the garden, some the glade;73 lines - While the chill dawn was breaking, with moist eye,
Wonder, and heartbeat, joy, doubt, aching bones,10 lines
