Limerick: There was an Old Man of the Isles

There was an Old Man of the Isles,
Whose face was pervaded with smiles;
He sung high dum diddle,
And played on the fiddle,
That amiable Man of the Isles.

    Seeking the Lear drawing for this limerick

    From guest Catherine Butler (contact)
    I have lost my photograph of a funny and beautiful colored illustration by Lear for this limerick. Does anyone know where it can be found?

      google

      I googled the whole name and came up with a black and white image. I wonder if it's similar to the one you seek. Von - Oldpoetry
