Hold fast to dreams
For if dreams die
Life is a broken-winged bird
That cannot fly.
Hold fast to dreams
For when dreams go
Life is a barren field
Frozen with snow.

one of his best
Langston Hughes is an old friend that I read again and again. His poetry is always fresh and clean, not to forget deep. -

I was born and raised in Cleveland, worked at Karamu House Theatre for 9 years. Langston Hughes had an apartment in the old building at Karamu. I have communed with his spirit on many occasions. Glad you visited us here at AP and enjoyed his works. He was a literary genius!
