Deer Tracks

Beautiful, sobbing
high-geared fucking
and then to lie silently
like deer tracks in the
freshly-fallen snow beside
the one you love.
That's all.

Yet another great one...wish I had said this. I love Richard Brautigan. He is my number one influence. A genius in every sense of the word. More people should read his work. I guess I should be happy that he is so unknown, since it enables me to write my things without fear of someone suddenly thinking I am plagiarising (which I am not.) I am so glad to find his work here and I will visit it often for inspiration and for the sheer pleasure of it. Anybody else out there who loves Brautigan is invited to give me a shout. I will be very happy to hear from you and to read some of your work.
