Love Poem

It's so nice
to wake up in the morning
 all alone
and not have to tell somebody
 you love them
when you don't love them
 any more.

He has definitely become a new favorite, and a new inspiration.. Whoa, what an awesome Poet..

I love his bold honesty, it's crushing and yet so refreshing... mhmm, me loves it alot!

One of the best, most honest things I've ever written.

I tried to ask some people to read it. They didn't act interested at all. They were self-acclaimed writers, poets, who didn't seem to "get it." They're the kind of people who read my poetry and say, "It's nice... I just don't get it."

Those kind of people drive me up the wall. Ehhh... I'm twitching.

    Brautigan, however, is a genius.

    I just love this poem.

    Rock on with Brautigan.

I suppose this could really be true, it's almost like carrying dead weight on your shoulders and waking up every morning to see it lying next to you. Avril

Ouch! This one is great. The freedom and contentment found in finally being free. I love Richard Brautigan. He is my number one influence. A genius in every sense of the word. More people should read his work. I guess I should be happy that he is so unknown, since it enables me to write my things without fear of someone suddenly thinking I am plagiarising (which I am not.) I am so glad to find his work here and I will visit it often for inspiration and for the sheer pleasure of it. Anybody else out there who loves Brautigan is invited to give me a shout. I will be very happy to hear from you and to read some of your work.
