This is the loveliest vision in our land.
It stands beside the silent silver stream
And calls us from our busy streets to dream
Of years unborn, when here on every hand
The eager youth of other days shall stand
To learn by ordered heart and mind to deem
That Life shall best be served if we esteem
Our times and seasons under Truth’s command.
For Truth is mighty, and it shall prevail
Through Arts and Science down the years to be.
Man’s Thoughts upon god’s viewless winds shall sail
And Justice clothe the Law with majesty.
So in this place shall our learning hail
The Truth by which the nations shall be free.
