Sometimes I feel like I will never stop
Just go on forever
Till one fine mornin
I'm gonna reach up and grab me a handfulla stars
Swing out my long lean leg
And whip three hot strikes burnin down the heavens
And look over a God and say
How about that!!!!

your poem
From guest Crystal (contact)
your poem is in my language arts springboard workbook, and certain words are different. Is this poem before you published it everywhere,or did you just want to change it for a reason. -

For guest crystal and others
Sadly it is our belief that Mr Allen has passed on and grabbed his "handful of stars" and so cannot answer your question.
This is, as far as our researchers can tell, the original version of the poem. It may have been inadvertently changed by people over the years (especially on web-logs) or by the poet and his editors when it has been anthologised.
It is now unlikely we will know for certain where every version originated.
If your "Sprinboard" gives a citation for its version could you please let us know the changes and the citation.
