Love And Light

ALL to the sea at last! Sweet is the hymn
And its calm close, 'the ocean of His Love,'
The exceeding and eternal bliss above,
Towards which, beyond the far horizon's rim,
That now is so distinct, and now so dim,
Through light and dark, through calm and storm, we move,
At eve that great Salvation's Depth to prove
Whose Source was sung by morning Seraphim.
All to the sea at last; so can we smile
Behind the blinding tears of present pain,
Remembering, too, that other singer's strain
Of light to come for love but 'lost awhile.'
All to the sea at last; at Evening time
There shall be light more full than of the Prime.
