Woman wants monogamy;
Man delights in novelty.
Love is woman's moon and sun;
Man has other forms of fun.
Woman lives but in her lord;
Count to ten, and man is bored.
With this the gist and sum of it,
What earthly good can come of it?

Haha, this was a cute and funny poem. I enjoyed reading this a lot. She had a way with words.

A wonderful flow and rhyme scheme.
And I think the part that stuck out the most was
"Woman wants monogamy;
Man delights in novelty."
There's alot of truth in that -
Well that's one point of view!
dorothy Parker had a knack for putting her point across in small packages and this poem is a good example. Whatever one thinks of the sentiments she has produced a memorable poem
