A cool fall night

At a hermitage:
    A cool fall night;
getting dinner, we peeled
    eggplants, cucumbers.

    I agree with Haikumonk. This is a very simple image yet it touches the heart of the reader. Indeed, the Master was very simple as we can see from his writings. Perfection achieved without trickery is noble in my eyes and I'm really glad I got to read this 'ku... it has made me smile and touched my soul. Excellent write every haijin {haiku poet} must read!

    I love the simplicity of this man. A zen monk master with the clearest of minds. No tricks... no games..... just perfect moment in time well expressed.
